They are designed so that the front 2/3 of the shoe is free of melt-trapping elements. Buckles and rivets are only on the back third of the shoe.

The welding boots shall be leather and shall reach to the ankles. The sole is resistant to contact heat up to 300°C, anti-static and slip-resistant. The upper part of the shoe protects against splashes and sparks and the steel protective cap is impact resistant with an energy of 200 J. They comply with the European standard EN 20349, EN 20345 and EN 20344.
